Skillsoft Percipio for All!
Primarily used for personal (professional and leadership) development. We like to use Skillsoft Percipio as a true MOOC (open source content) that users can search on what they need when they need it whether on desktop or mobile app. The business case is to support aspiring and current leaders in their development activities by offering courses, books, book summaries, videos, video summaries, etc.

- Some of the course content is dated or set in an older studio
- Termed licensed users ought to be put back into the pool of available licenses

It all depends on your use case, budget, technology lift, quality, etc. My users need to be satisfied #1, or else we go with another provider. #2 the cost needs to be in line. #3 the user onboard needs to be easy, etc. Skillsoft Percipio works for us, hits all the marks.

Skillsoft Books are well worth the investment!!
We are using Skillsoft Books across the University and it is being used to support the professional development of our employees.
- It provides most books in audio and eBook options.
- You can download books for reading offline.
- There are thousands of books available and they are constantly adding to their list.
- Increase the number of books offered in both eBook and audiobook
- Increase the catalog by creating a section for online articles not just books
- We have increased our usage by 300% and helped our employees develop new skills.
- We have developed an online training program for new managers, those seeking certifications (SHRM, PMP and others) and looking to expand our programs even more.
- There are so many books (thousands), it can be overwhelming for our employees.
We have looked at other vendors and none provide the well-known books at a reasonable cost to the institution.
Skillport is one of the continuing education platforms our organization has invested in for admin employees. While taking courses is not mandatory, our company offers the platform for departmental and team discretion. My workgroup has set yearly goals during strategy deployment for each member in the areas of growth determined by the team. Additionally, I have used Skillport to research audio, video, or text-based courses on my own in order to learn about a variety of topics relating to my personal and professional work.

Skillsoft offers one of the more comprehensive learning platforms among its competitors. While the platform does appear dated at times with regard to the user interface, it does a really good job of offering a wide assortment of learning tools and features for interested individuals. I utilize Skillport primarily because of the paid access from my company and the wide variety of media content available based on my need and access at the time.
